Day 299

In my ongoing pursuit of balance, I came home from work today, ate a big bowl of ice cream (I'm still into Blue Bell's Raspberry Fudge Brownie), took a nap, then went for a run. I think I'm getting closer to figuring out how to, as the kids say, live my best life.

I'm excited for the long weekend as a chance to regroup and get on top of the wave that is school, but I am also looking forward to doing another of my favorite activities: running! I'm running the Tupelo Marathon in Mississippi on Sunday, which requires a headlamp due to the 5:00 am start. Phew! I would say this is the first race of my fall season, but it's technically still summer...so I guess I should say I'm excited to continue my summer running? My current PR is 5:37:15 at the 2018 Oklahoma City Marathon, and if the weather and my body cooperate, I think I can beat that this weekend. We'll see.
