Day 141

I thought volunteering wore me out, which it did for sure, but it seems there might've been something else at play. Since I'd spent 48 hours in nature and it's that delightful allergy-tastic time of year, I thought I was having allergy issues. Yesterday, I started coughing and feeling worse, and today, I woke up with a low-grade fever. Google tells me that a low-grade temperature could still be an allergy symptom, but at this point, I don't really care what it is. I'd just like to feel better!

Other than the time recently when I was so tired that I didn't go to work (yikes!), I haven't taken a sick day in quite some time. I was sick several times a year as a child, and my mom would always take care of me and let me watch TV while I laid around and rested. Today, though, I was too sickly to do much other than read a few pages of Harry Potter before drifting back to sleep again. Not only did I miss work, but I also missed out on Girls on the Run practice, and today was our Community Impact Project day.  Hopefully, this will be a short-term gig and I'll feel better tomorrow and up to full strength by Wednesday. Fingers crossed!

Something that made today great: I had a dreamy doctor to bring me food and water in bed while I rested
Time I woke up: No comment--I was up and down from bed most of the day.
